Supporting new parents and enabling them to embrace parenthood with confidence.
As a mother myself, I am passionate about helping women transition into their role as new mothers. Becoming a mother isn’t just adding a new member to your family, it is a shift in your identity. As a doula, I will encourage you to trust yourself and your intuition, respect your choices, listen without judgment, and provide evidence based information to help you to make informed decisions regarding your postnatal experience and caring for your baby. It really does take a village, and I’d love to be a part of yours.
What families have to say about me:
“During our time spent together after my baby was born, Allison was calm, loving, thoughtful, and very intuitive to both the mother and the baby. Anyone would be so lucky to have Allison supporting their family during the postpartum time.” - Ashley
“Allison is full of wonderful advice and was able to help answer any questions or concerns I had. She is extremely non-judgmental and supportive, which I always appreciated, especially in this very exciting, but overwhelming time in a woman’s life.” - Rebecca
“Allison has wholeheartedly supported me in my postpartum journey and has been there for me both physically and emotionally to help me whenever possible. I struggled with breastfeeding in the early months, and she was always such a valuable part of my support system. She has always been eager to help and support me and my husband while respecting any boundaries we set forth.” - Danielle
“Allison provided invaluable support to us as first-time parents. Her compassionate care, practical guidance for first time parents, and expertise in newborn care were a true blessing. She created a nurturing environment, offering emotional support and easing the transition into motherhood. As Alison was about to leave New York at that time, I could only avail of her services for a short period. I often tell my friends that the days Alison spent in our home were some of the easiest and best days of early motherhood. She accomplished so much in that limited time – she improved the house significantly, putting both my husband and me at ease by managing whatever chaos was occurring that day. Among the many other things she did, Alison also prepared excellent meals for us, which we savored for days. She checked in on me between her visits, addressing any questions I had. Everyone checks on the baby, but to have someone check in on the recovering mother was really helpful. I highly recommend Allison to any new parents seeking a knowledgeable and caring postpartum doula.” - Aishwarya
